Our electronic library is among the best

Electronic library of Tashenev University is one of the three most popular libraries among higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan. All 9,500 electronic resources of the university are included in the fund of the association of universities in the country. According to the results of last year, our university ranks third in the number of downloads of e-books, and fourth in the total number of resources.
Over 15,000 people downloaded our electronic content last year. This means that our electronic resource is in demand for students of other universities. From this point of view, only "Turan" University and Almaty Technological University stand before us. This is evidenced by the statistics of RMEB. The RMEB website (http://rmebrk.kz/statistics) provides detailed statistics on the use of all electronic resources of universities.
52% of all resources are in Kazakh, 41% in Russian, 7% in English. 57 percent of them are digitized book publications, 22 percent are educational and methodological, and 20 percent are scientific works of teachers and students.
Today, the fund of the electronic library of the university is updated every month with new electronic publications that are in demand in the educational process. A fund is formed by scanning books. Currently, new multimedia electronic textbooks are being developed together with teachers. Since 2005, the university team has developed 350 electronic textbooks with author's certificates. During the processing, the professors provided the necessary educational materials (teaching-methodical materials, syllabi, work programs, textbooks, assignments, etc.) for use. Teachers also took part in adding applications to electronic textbooks, and they conducted open classes using these textbooks. Textbooks are included in the catalog of electronic resources of the university and are actively used by students and teachers. All resources are classified according to educational programs, they are stored on the university's web server and are available online. Links to electronic textbooks are provided to the Association of Higher Education Institutions (RMEB).
Today, the dynamics of the development of the electronic library fund has been prepared, tables have been updated, and diagrams have been created.
