GENERAL INFORMATION
The main goal of the Information Technology Department is information support and technical support of the educational process at the University named after Zhumabek Tashenev.
The main tasks of the department are:
1. equipping classrooms with modern computer technology
2. ensuring the functioning of the AIS "Platon"
3. providing access to the Internet from all devices
4. Ensuring the operability of the electronic document management system
5. functioning of the electronic library of the university
6. functioning of the official website of the university https://tashenov.edu.kz and corporate mail

The main activities of the digitalization department: the service sector (support of the educational process, repair of computer equipment), the software sector (monitoring the Internet, the introduction of innovative technologies and software for computers and servers), the communications sector (video conferencing).

The infrastructure of the department is currently equipped with 4 computer classes, 4 multimedia classes, 1 electronic reading room.

The university is equipped with 147 computers, 4 interactive whiteboards, 9 projectors, 1 video conferencing room, which creates favorable conditions for the educational process. The conference room is used for remote online meetings and classes.

All computer rooms are equipped with modern personal computers of the following configurations: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU 3.20GHz (4 CPUs), Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3330 CPU 3.00GHz (4 CPUs), Intel( R) core i3-2120 CPU 3.30 GHz(4CPUs), 15 WIBTEK Core I7 3.4 GHz monoblock, 8 Gb RAM, 500HDD, kmp.

All equipment is used in the classroom by students, including 147 computers with the following characteristics: Core i3 - 55 pcs., Core i5 - 30 pcs., Core i7 - 14 pcs., all this equipment is involved in the educational process of the university. Also from computer equipment there are: 1 scanner, 30 multifunctional devices (MFP: copier, scanner, printer), 11 laser printers, 2 color inkjet printers, 4 interactive whiteboards, 9 multimedia projectors, 1 server, etc. All existing equipment of the new generation. Timely maintenance is carried out

This allows teaching staff to work with interactive whiteboards, regularly organize online seminars and video conferences with a high-speed Internet connection at a speed of 120 Mbps using new technologies.

From 2009 to 2021, the department annually held advanced training courses for 3rd and 4th year students on the topic "Using an interactive whiteboard in the educational process." For 12 years, 2029 students received certificates.

From 2005 to 2022, the employees of the department were actively involved in the development of electronic textbooks. For 17 years, 353 electronic textbooks have been prepared, authors-teachers receive copyright certificates.
In terms of the resources of the electronic library, the University named after Zhumabek Akhmetuly Tashenev ranks fourth among the universities members of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The fund of the university's electronic library has about 10,000 resources, of which about 2,000 are new resources released after 2012.
To date, the university has Internet via fiber optic cable, the connection speed is 120 Mb / s. Also, in all classrooms of the university, wireless Internet is freely available using Wi-Fi.

In the process of learning, students are provided with technical support:
- some classes are held in the virtual mode of lectures, consultations, testing;
- provision of electronic textbooks, multimedia presentations, training programs;
- computer testing is carried out using the PLATONUS automated information system as part of the midterm and final certification;
- access is provided through login-passwords to the electronic journal of progress;
- halls of electronic resources are provided.
Thanks to this, the optimization of the educational process in the conditions of credit technology and the effectiveness of the implementation of distance learning technologies are achieved.

Department activity

Currently, the development of digitalization at the University named after Zhumabek Tashenev is being implemented in the following areas:
1. Functioning of the AIS "Platon"
The system provides full support for the educational process, has integration with the NOBD and the ESUVO system. Addresses for entering the system: http://platon.tashenov.edu.kz or http://80.241.36.163:8080/.

2. Electronic document management system
The internal document management system Documentov (version 1.8.5.2) is installed on the university server. A mobile version of the application is available. The address for entering the system is http://doc.tashenov.edu.kz or http://80.241.36.163:9999/.

3. Electronic library of the university
The university has a rich electronic library of the university, the total fund of which is 9502 resources, of which 4908 in Kazakh, 3964 in Russian and 630 in English. New electronic textbooks (353 copies) are systematically developed in the digitalization center of the university, which are actively used in the educational process . Authors receive copyright certificates from the intellectual property committee. All resources are classified according to educational programs and are stored on the university's web server. The address of the electronic library of the university is http://lib.tashenov.edu.kz. The IRBIS system is used to automate the issuance of books.

4. Moodle distance learning platform
The university operates the Moodle platform (http://ko.tashenov.edu.kz) as one of the distance learning tools. 294 video lectures of teachers have been uploaded to the platform, which are available for viewing online. All video lectures are grouped by educational programs and teachers.

5. Official website of the university
The university website http://tashenov.edu.kz/ operates from the Internet, which contains all the relevant information about the university, its divisions, and activities. The sections News, Announcements, Congratulations, Media about us, Graduates, job contests, etc. are regularly updated. A mobile version of the site is available.

6. Use of corporate mail
All employees of the university have the opportunity to use corporate mail. For this, electronic mailboxes have been created on the virtual mail server. 
 


Activity plan of the information technology department for the 2020-2021 academic year

For the 2020-2021 academic year, the department has outlined 3 main events that will contribute to the overall strengthening of the university's image:
1.provision of information security
2. information support of employees
3. promotion of the university's Internet resources

3 Updating and development of the official website of the university
1. Regular updating of the following headings of the site: News, Announcements, Congratulations, Mass media about us.
2. Updating the materials of departments, faculties, departments, etc. as new materials become available. So, for example, during the preparation for accreditation, various materials were received from all departments of the university: reports, presentations, photos and videos. All of them were published on the site in the appropriate sections.
3. Expansion of content in the Graduate / Tulek heading. There are 16 articles in the heading now. An album with reviews of university graduates has been digitized (2016), it is planned to process photos of graduates and transfer all reviews to the site under the heading Reviews of alumni.
4. Work on the theming of the site interface, select a new design theme and put it into action. Now there are 3 themes on the site: the main interface theme (Samara), the interface theme for the visually impaired (Visually Impaired Theme)
 and a theme for site administration (Seven).
5. Start developing a mobile version of the site. Currently, the site is accessible from various digital devices and gadgets, but the display of the site from mobile phones is slightly incorrect.
6. Launching the heading ҰLAҒATTY ҰSTAZDAR / GREAT TEACHERS / GREAT TEACHERS or ҚҰRMET ALEYASY / ALEYA POCHETA / ALEY OF HONOR.
Now the materials of 30 teachers who worked at the university have already been collected and made a tangible contribution to the development of the university. It is proposed to consider the issue of consciousness of such a heading and its placement on the main page of the site.

Providing information security for the internal documentation of the university by means of cloud storage

To the attention of deans of faculties, heads of departments and heads of departments of the university!

In order to ensure information security of the university's internal documentation, the following actions must be taken:

I. On the part of those responsible for the university unit:
1. Organize the collection of all electronic documentation of the structural department of the university (the general list is shown below) and send it to e-mail ssa23@bk.ru or provide it in electronic form.

II. From the side of the information technology center staff:
1. Organize the collection of all electronic documentation for departments, structural divisions and departments of the university according to the list (shown below);
2. Ensure the performance of a single cloud storage;
3. Process and fill the cloud storage in a structural order;
4. Conduct a regular collection of electronic documents (once a month) and synchronize data;
5.If necessary, ensure the recovery of lost information from the cloud storage
