The symbol of true love is Kozy Korpesh and Bayan Sulu

Today, April 15 - Kozy Korpesh - Bayan Sulu Day is celebrated in order to revive our national values, Kazakh traditions, teach to stand behind, to be loyal to love, to glorify the heroes of true love among young people.
If we look at our history, Kozy Korpesh and Bayan Sulu are the heroes of the lyric-epic poem of the Kazakh people.
The song begins with Sarybai and Karabai getting engaged while hunting and Kozy and Bayandy arguing the day before. Sarybai, who heard that he had a son while hunting, could not see his son and died. Kozy and Bayan, who are already engaged, fall in love without seeing their faces. In time, the stingy Karabay did not want to give his daughter to an orphan, but tried to pass it on to Kodar, a local wrestler who had once saved his flock from starvation. Kodar, who was a barrier between the two lovers, tricked him and took the head of the Lamb with evil. Grief-stricken, Bayan resorted to cunning to get revenge. She tells Kodar that if she gets water from a well, she will get married. As the deceived Kodar grabs Bayan's hair and goes to the bottom of the well, the cunning girl cuts her locks: Kodar falls into the abyss and dies. Then the Lamb's vengeance will be returned. The heroine comes to the dome of her lover, kills herself with a dagger.
The two fell victim to greed and envy and were able to maintain their tender feelings for each other until death. That is why Kozy Korpesh and Bayan Sulu, who have risen to the peak of great feelings, are faithful to their feelings and strong in heart, as a symbol of true love.
