February 14 - INTERNATIONAL BOOK AWARD DAY

The origin of the holiday is associated with the name of Emmy Broadmoor, the founder of the American children's book website. One day Emmy Broadmoor's son asked his mother, "Why isn't there a book-giving day among the people?" he asks. Thus, he finds an answer to his son's question and starts organizing a charity event. Emmy does this with the help of popular bloggers on social networks. On February 14, 2012, the book donation campaign was held for the first time.
We know that more than 30 countries of the world, including residents of Kazakhstan, participate in the International Book Giving Day, which has been celebrated continuously since 2012. It is one of the youngest holidays in the calendar.
Gifting a book is a sign of a civilized country. Gifting a book to a loved one is considered your contribution to the spiritual development and raising the level of society. Don't forget that your good deeds will come back to you.
We congratulate all book lovers on today's holiday!
