On Monday, November 11, 2024, senior lecturer of the “English Language” department at the Faculty of “IT and Foreign Languages,” M.A. Onalbay B.T., conducted an open class for 1st-year students of the specialty 6B010707 - Foreign Languages (IP) in the discipline “Introduction to Linguistics.” The lesson’s topic was the Perfect Tenses in English. During the lesson, students had an incredible opportunity to learn more about tenses in a foreign language and to practice constructing complex structures in both oral and written speech. For 50 minutes, students actively studied grammatical nuances, using the language in real-life contexts. The lesson incorporated innovative methods for teaching English as a foreign language: gamification, flipped classroom, peer review, and role play. Students fully immersed themselves in the world of the foreign language and developed their speaking, reading, and writing skills.
