In our university, with the participation of directors and methodologists of 148 schools, a large-scale meeting on professional orientation was held within the framework of the Memorandum of Educational Programs with the Shymkent City Education Department.
The rector of the university, Kanat Baibolov, who spoke at the meeting, spoke about the current situation and development prospects of the educational institution. He said that Tashenev University is implementing large-scale projects in the process of forming the intellectual elite of the country on the basis of modern integration of education, science and innovative activities and creation of new knowledge, on the way to becoming a new dynamic university in the new Kazakhstan. Among them, there are plans for modernization of educational activities in training of globally competitive specialists, innovative educational programs, opening of professions that are in demand in the labor market.
At the same time, he informed about the future of our university, relations with foreign higher educational institutions, the work being done on inviting scientists and specialists from abroad. "Our main goal is to raise the level of pedagogic professions. One of the different methods in this context is systematic work within the framework of a double-diploma specialist program. We will strengthen relations with Europe. Negotiations are underway with the University of Greece on the training of a double-diploma specialist. In this direction, we are also establishing contact with Shyrchyk University of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Our students study at our university for 2 years and spend the remaining 2 years abroad. On the other hand, he gets a high-quality, international-level education by having a diploma from both sides. Our university is one of the first to undertake such a project in the southern region," said Kanat Seyitzhanuly.
Apart from that, he proposed to send 4th-year students to general education schools in Shymkent after school, to allow them to take additional classes there, and even to open a special office there and send teachers of higher education institutions there. Therefore, strong school specialists and university teachers exchange experience with the latest methods of educational programs.
Meruert Medetbekova, the director of the methodical center in Shymkent, who was the catalyst for this important meeting, supported the proposal of the university rector and noted that a quality specialist is always in demand as a customer.
