Senior Lecturer of the Department of History and Geography Turumbetova G.A. together with Library No. 2, organized a historical hour called “The Path is Longer than Gumyr,” dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the birth of Mukhamedzhan Tynyshbayev, a major political figure of the early 20th century, a prominent public figure, railway engineer, and historian.
Students who took part in the event presented new data that today the Kazakh railway, which started in Turksib, is one of the main sectors of the country’s economy, and the first Kazakh engineer M. Tynyshbaev made a great contribution to this great success.
Librarian A. Bakirova presented a book exhibition with the goal of introducing the life and work of the first engineer, historian-scientist M. Tynyshbaev, the first Kazakh engineer, historian-scientist, glorifying his contribution to his native people and its history, teaching students to love their country and land, following the example of the life of a great man.
