The Faculty of Philology of Tashenov University sets as its main goal the formation of the civil status of students on the basis of spiritual education along with modern education.
The faculty trains undergraduate specialists in five specialties:
- 6B01701-Training of teachers of the Kazakh language and literature;
- 6B01702-Training of teachers of Russian language and literature;
- 6В01703-Foreign language: training of two foreign language teachers;
- 6В01704-Training of Uzbek language teachers;
- 6В032010-Librarianship.
       It prepares masters in four specialties:
- 7M01701-Training of teachers of the Kazakh language and literature;
- 7М01702-Foreign language: training of two foreign language teachers;
- 7M01703-Training of teachers of Russian language and literature;
- 7M01704- Training of teachers of the Uzbek language and literature.
        The Faculty of Philology of the University named after Zh. A. Tashenev, guided by educational programs and concepts, innovatively implements the provision of quality education and conscious upbringing of students.

Students are taught in two departments of the faculty: “Languages and Literature”, “Foreign Languages”. These departments are always focused on a high level of classical education and mastering the fundamentals of applied knowledge. Language is the basis of life. Without language there is no society. The main advantage of the language specialty over other specialties is that there is great scope for students’ creative freedom. The student is given the opportunity to make his own thoughts and conclusions by comparing the results of the study, without relying only on memorized principles. Because a teacher is a future specialist. From this point of view, the issue of training an education specialist at the faculty is one of the most pressing issues at any time. The works of both teachers and psychologists note that in the process of education the essence of a person’s entire existence is formed. A teacher is a person who lays the foundation of knowledge for a student and ensures the development of the child’s personality. The duty of higher educational institutions is to prepare teachers who are able to effectively solve current problems of the pedagogical process and who can be called masters of their craft.        Collective solidarity and agreement are firmly established at the Faculty of Philology. Experienced teachers regularly provide methodological assistance to young teachers. As a result, events, discussions, and literary evenings dedicated to the works of poets and writers are regularly organized by teachers of the department.
