Department of of Postgraduate Education

The Department of postgraduate education is a structural division of the University that coordinates the educational process of the departments of the University for the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel.

The Department of postgraduate education provides training for masters in educational programs in accordance with the state mandatory standard of postgraduate education. Persons who have completed the master's degree program and successfully passed the final certification are awarded the master's degree.

Education in the master's program of the University is carried out both under the state educational order (grant) and on a contractual basis. Training of masters is conducted at 8 departments of the University, in the scientific and pedagogical direction.

Every year, the University holds a scientific and practical conference of young scientists and students, where undergraduates have the opportunity to present the results of their research.

Information about enrollment in master's programs

Our future master's students, we are starting to accept applications for comprehensive testing!
💻 Registration: from June 10 to July 15 on the website app.testcenter.kz.
⏳ Comprehensive testing is carried out from July 20 to August 10.
📍 When registering, you choose the testing location (city) yourself.
📌 If it is necessary to make changes to the city or language of the CT exam, as well as to the group of educational programs, until July 15 (on this day the database closes), you will be given the opportunity to correct and disable the application.
❌ After the closure of the application acceptance database, the chosen direction of training, group of educational programs, language and city of testing do not change.
- Information about the place and time of testing will be available in the applicant’s personal account on July 18.

What You Need to Know About Basic Integrated Testing

✅ Before submitting an application for CT, the applicant must obtain advice from the university admissions committee on the compliance of the fields of education chosen by the OPOP, areas of postgraduate educational training and the CT format;
✅ Links to the virtual admissions committee of universities www.testcenter.kz are presented on the website and in our UTO Telegram channel. Links are displayed in Stories;
✅ Before submitting an application for a competition to award an educational grant, the applicant should not have the status of “student”;
✅ Applicants who have international certificates confirming their proficiency in a foreign language in accordance with the pan-European competencies (standards) for proficiency in a foreign language are exempt from the CT test in a foreign language for master's studies;
✅ The threshold score for admission to a scientific and pedagogical master's program on a state educational order and on a paid basis is 75 points, and for a specialized master's program - 50 points.

List of documents to submit for training

When applying to the OVPO for persons entering a master's program:

1. Application in any form addressed to the head of the OVPO;
2. Document on higher education (original);
3. Identity document (required for personal identification);
4. Six photographs measuring 3x4 centimeters.;
5. Medical certificate in electronic format according to form 075/u, approved by Order No. RK DSM-175/2020; In cases of implementation of restrictive measures in a certain territory, the introduction of a state of emergency, the occurrence of emergency situations of a social, natural and man-made nature, as soon as these measures are received, provides a medical certificate directly to educational organizations.
6. Certificate of passing a foreign language test (English, French, German) International English Language Tests System (IELTS, threshold score not less than 6.0), IELTS INDICATOR (IELTS Indicator) threshold score not less than 6.0, Test of English as a Foreign Language Institutional Testing Programm (TOEFL ITP (TOIFL IP) threshold score is not less than 543, Test of English as a Foreign Language Institutional Testing Programm Internet-based Test (TOEFL IBT, threshold score is not less than 60), Test of English as a Foreign Language paper-based testing, (TOEFL PBT, threshold score not less than 498, Deutsche Sprachpruefung fuеrden Hochschulzugang (DSH, Niveau C1/DengeyC1), TestDaF–Prufung (Niveauc1/C1 Dengeyi), Test de Français International ™ (TFI - not lower than B1 level in reading and listening sections), Diplome d' Etudes en Langue Française (DELF, B2 level), Diplome Approfondi de Langue française (DALF, C1 money), Test de connaissance du français (TCF - not less 50 points) (if available);
7. Document confirming work activity (for persons with work experience);
8. List of scientific and scientific-methodological works (if available).
Together with copies of the documents specified in subparagraphs 3, 6 and 7 of this paragraph, their originals are submitted for verification. After verification, the originals are returned to the service recipient.
