Memorandum of International Cooperation

Cooperation between National and Kapodistrian University of Athen, Greece and Tashenev University, Kazakhstan
 
On 19th April 2023, at the premises of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, represented by the rector Professor Meletios-Athanassios Dimopoulos and Tashenev University of Kazakhstan, Shymkent, represented by Mrs. Dinara Sultan, Director of the international relations department on behalf of Dr. Serik Onalbaiuly, President of Tashenev University.
 
The signing of the Memorandum was attended by the associate professor Apostolia Galani as the scientific responsible for this cooperation and professor Evangelia Mavrikaki from the Department of Pedagogy and Primary Education of NKUA, as member of the initiators of this cooperation.
 
Recognizing that internationalization has become one of the major priorities of higher education institutions around the world, by the virtue of this Memorandum, the two universities aim at strengthening and developing cooperation in the field of higher education and promoting their educational programs.  
The two universities intend to create joint academic programs, joint research programs and exchange of experience and knowledge of students and academic staff.
During the meeting, the rector professor Meletios-Athanassios Dimopoulos welcomed this cooperation with the Kazakhstani partner and expressed interest in creating extroversion opportunities for NKUA to enhance research impact beyond academia. 
Mrs. Dinara Sultan emphasized the prospects for development of postgraduate studies in English language, the joint participation in European and other international programs, the mobility of Kazakh and/or Greek students and academic staff using scholarships from Kazakhstan and exchange of research programs.
