THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM "CREATIVE OF INDUSTRY OF SHYMKENT" WAS HELD IN SHYMKENT.
The event was attended by the Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, the first deputy mayor of the city Kuanysh Asylov and representatives of more than 30 creative industries.
Vice-Minister Yerzhan Malikuly noted that the city is of great tourist importance. "Shymkent is a large city that connects Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan with other regions of Kazakhstan. Using its own competitive advantages, the city has every chance to become a main tourist center for the entire southern region," said E. Erkinbaev.
Focusing on the possibilities of the metropolis, the first deputy head of the city said that 5 priority directions of the creative industry have been determined. They are: cinema and animation, design and fashion, IT and game development, as well as folk crafts and music.
Within the framework of the forum-exhibition, pitching, that is, by protecting and presenting creative projects, the possibility of attracting investment is being considered. Also, a number of memoranda will be drawn up in order to develop the direction of the creative industry in Shymkent.
It should be noted that since last year, the "Business City" regional businessmen's support program has been launched in the city, which provides loans to entrepreneurs at 1% for up to 10 million tenge for up to 5 years. Within the framework of the program, state support is provided to creative industry subjects by subsidizing a part of the building rent. In this direction, it is planned to open a creative hub in 2024. Various master classes, a special showroom, creative evenings and meetings can be held there. In general, 11 entrepreneurs in the metropolis have received financial support through various state programs.
