Undoubtedly, New Year is celebrated all over the world. The people of Kazakhstan consider the Year of the Cow as the Year of Prosperity. At the University of “Syrdariya” on the eve of the New Year 2009 in Zhetysay was held "Student Christmas tree". Among the four faculties, competitions were held in the nominations: "Best Song", "Best Dance", "Best Scene", "Best Carnival Costume", "Best Wall Newspaper", "Best Poem", "Best Organizer", "Best Character".
