On October 12-13, 2020, an external audit was held at the «Syrdariуa» University as part of institutional accreditation at the Independent Kazakhstan Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA).

At the «Syrdariya» University from October 12 to 13, 2020, the Expert Group of the Independent Kazakhstan Agency for Quality Assurance in Education conducted an external audit within the framework of specialized accreditation.

The expert group of the Independent Kazakh Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, which conducted an external audit within the framework of specialized accreditation, praised the unity of the university team and pointed out the shortcomings that need to be eliminated. The final decision on accreditation will be made by the IQAA management in the near future.

From the «Syrdariуa» University, the coordinator of the External Audit within the framework of specialized accreditation was the rector of the university - Mamraimov Serik Dauletuly.

As part of the external audit, on the first day, online interviews were conducted with the university management: the founder, rector, vice-rectors. The meeting with the leadership of the university made it possible for the team of experts to officially get acquainted with the general characteristics of the university, the achievements of recent years and development prospects.

IQAA experts were provided with self-assessment reports in Kazakh, Russian and English, which contain an analysis of the quality of implementation of 19 educational programs, as well as identified strengths and weaknesses, identified threats and opportunities for further development.

Then, a visual inspection of the material and technical and educational and laboratory facilities in the areas of accredited educational programs, inspection of faculties and departments that implement educational programs were carried out. Further, online interviews were conducted with heads of structural divisions, deans and heads of departments, with teaching staff of departments, with alumni and employers.

On the second day, the Expert Group for conducting an external audit within the framework of specialized accreditation carried out a selective visit to the bases of practices and training sessions, studying the documentation of departments in the areas of accredited educational programs. Then, online interviews were conducted with students and undergraduates.

After an exchange of views of the members of the external expert group, at the request of the experts, representatives of individual departments and structural divisions were invited, then the expert group began to prepare reports on external audit.

At the end, an online meeting with the university leadership took place to present the preliminary results of the external audit.
