An ancient city was discovered together with students

Among us there are teachers who have been working at the university since the formation of our university, which has a 26-year history. One of them is Sabira Apasheva, head of the department of history and geography, candidate of historical sciences, acting. associate professor
In addition, Sabira Nurbaevna is one of the oldest teachers of our university. Today she is the mother of 4 children, she contributes to the development of our educational center and the high recognition of the name of the university. Starting her first job at the university in 1996 as a laboratory assistant, she went from the head of the educational department, scientific secretary, head of the department. Sabira Nurbaevna, together with her students, discovered the ancient relics of the Myrzasholsky district, an abandoned town, and initiated the opening of a special museum in our school for the preservation of valuable things, there are many memories of the past. In 2004, in the vicinity of the village of Kirov, Zhetysay district, the city of Utirtobe was found, where many valuable things were left during archaeological excavations. It has been established that the finds are consumer goods of people who lived in the Middle Ages. There were also caravan routes.
“Basically, the city of Utirtobe is located in the disaster zone. The earth is constantly flooded. Water is collected only from the beginning of August to October. In the meantime, we will carry out archaeological excavations. In the early years, we gathered 80 students and spent 12 days at the top of the city excavating. At that time there were no buses, we got to our destination on a tractor, and one group of young people, divided into groups, sculpted pots and stoves, and the other dug the earth and made a refrigerator. We found many artifacts. Every day my students happily brought pots, candles and hookah, saying, "Aunt, we found it." I am very happy about it. All the children worked with interest and activity,” recalls Sabira Apasheva.
Thus, they found a medieval city, invited archaeologists from the capital, proved it, and every year reported on the artifacts found. There are even unused cans. After that, in 2005, during excavations carried out in the city of Sutkent, Shardara region, several artifacts were found. Mineral resources in Kultobe were also discovered with the participation of our students.
A lecturer who loves archaeological excavations says that in the future, many valuable things will be found in these holy places, which received a special license on behalf of the university. In the course of practical work, students will become more familiar with our history by conducting excavations in those territories. A museum dedicated to these historical relics has been opened within the walls of the university. It is included in the tourist route by the administration. Therefore, tourists coming to the area visit the museum on purpose. There is hope that the museum, which is now located in Zhetysay, will move to the new building of our educational institution in the future.
Today Sabira Nurbaevna, the pride of the university, together with her students, has gone down in history.
