Science is one of the most important conditions for the development of the state, the driving force of progress.
The issue of development of domestic science is in the focus of the state.
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan К. In his Address to the People of Kazakhstan, Tokayev gave important instructions on the development of science. In order to fulfill the tasks, a national project for the development of science was adopted and the legislation on science was amended. All this work is carried out in close cooperation with the scientific community in the framework of the concept of "a state that listens to the voice of the people." Funding for science has doubled in the last two years. The duration of research funding has been increased to five years. Salaries of scientists were added to the basic funding. Non-competitive direct funding of basic research institutes has been introduced. As a result, about four thousand scientists will receive a guaranteed salary and will be able to implement their ideas independently of the competition.
Funds were also allocated for the material and technical modernization of research institutes, new laboratories were opened, which were equipped and more than 800 modern equipment were purchased. Terms of the "Bolashak" program
An unprecedented new internship program for 500 scientists this year has already provided internships at 109 leading research centers in 24 countries.
