History Lessons - A Tribute to the Past

On November 1, 2019, the "Syrdariуa" University hosted a literary and educational evening “History Lessons - A Tribute to the Past,” dedicated to the 178th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakhstani educator, writer, folklorist, ethnographer, public figure Ibrai Altynsarin.
The purpose of this event is to increase the love of young people for their native language, promoting the work of Yu. Altynsarin. Expanding the use of the state language, raising its status, teaching youth patriotism.
Literary and informative evening, organized by first-year students of the specialty "Kazakh language and literature" of the philological and humanitarian faculty, began with a video about the life and work of the poet. Students demonstrated their skills in performing poet poems.
During the evening, many poetry poems were read, young people told proverbs, and a scene based on the story “Rich and Poor Boy” was shown.
At the end of the evening, students performed the Kazakh folk song “Balapan Kazdy”.
