Higher educational institution Myrzashol - the place of future specialists

1998 year. Independence. Our country has not yet recovered, the population is not used to market relations. It was not easy for the youth of the Maktaaral region, located in the extreme south, on the border, to get higher education and become a specialist. The remoteness of the road from major cities and the lack of direct contact with the country created serious problems. Because at that time the bridge across the Syrdariya river had not yet been built. Moreover, the social status of the entire population could not afford it.

Therefore, the youth of the region needed such a higher educational institution as the water of the Syrdariya River. In such a difficult time, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Academy of National Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the III convocation in 2004-2007, Deputy of the Turkestan Regional Maslikhat, Rector of SKSPU Onalbai Ayashev worried about the future of youth and despite difficulties, 27 July of the same year, he founded the Syrdariya University.

Because he understood that the youth of the region needed higher education. Twenty years have passed since then. This year the fundamental university turns 20 years old. Historians say that the university has its own secret, the same as the name of the Syrdariya river.

         Initially, the university with only 200 students had to overcome some difficulties. Problems such as a lack of teaching aids, a lack of qualified specialists, the need for educational institutions, and a low material and technical base were obvious. However, in a sea of ​​knowledge sailing in the right direction, the university weathered any storm and continued to rise to new heights and horizons every year. Success has increased in twenty years.

It wasn't easy to start from scratch. Although located in a small town far from the country, the goal of the university was to reach the highest peaks and peaks. On the first day of September 2005, the Day of Knowledge, President Nursultan Nazarbayev personally visited the university and took part in the opening ceremony of a new educational building of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology. During the visit, the President stressed the importance of the university for the youth of the Mirzashol region.

         Throughout its twenty-year history, the merits of the leaders and teachers of the university, who led the university to success, are immeasurable. In this regard, it is worth noting the persistence and tenacity of the founder of the University of Seilov, Esengul Seilovna. Thanks to her hard work, the university has risen to its current level. The hard work was not in vain. In 2008 she was awarded the title of an honorary citizen of the Maktaaral region. In 2009, by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, she was awarded the I. Altynsarin badge for achievements in the field of pedagogy.

Over the years, the Syrdariya University was headed by a number of top leaders. For twenty years the university was headed by 6 rectors. Their activities are reflected in the main events in the life of the district and the university in different years.

         The first rector of the university was Umirzak Altayev, candidate of chemical sciences, associate professor. Then the doctor of chemical sciences, professor Turtabaev Sarsenbek Koishibaevich came to this position, then the doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Berdyshev Abdymaulen Suleimenovich - one of those who held this position with honor. Meanwhile, he was replaced by Academician of the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Ashirov Abdumalik Manapovich, then Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Mamraimov Serik Dauletovich, who made a great contribution to the management of the university. At present, the candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor, senior teacher Dairbekov Serik Sansyzbaevich is in charge of the training ship "Syrdariya".

The ability to keep up with the times is the main requirement of today. Therefore, the speed of updating the information flow and the credit system of education required a radical restructuring of the organization of the educational process at the university. Madykhanova Kundyz Seilovna, an experienced teacher, qualified chemist, demanding organizer, candidate of chemical sciences, associate professor, who worked as vice-rector for academic affairs of the university from 2004 to 2012, was able to fulfill this requirement.

A new milestone for the university began in the 21st century, for example, in 2001, 2006, 2011 the university passed the state certification of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and in 2007, 2010, 2012 it checked the compliance of qualification requirements for education. In 2010, 2013, 2016 and 2018, he received certificates from the Turkish Standards Institute. In addition, the university was one of the first in 2015–2017 to successfully pass state accreditation in 21 specialties in the institutional and bachelor's system, 8 specialties in the master's program. The university has other achievements as well. This is the Paryz Business Social Responsibility 2008 award. In 2015, he was awarded the title of Industry Leader from the National Business Rating Union. Syrdariya University took 20th place in the national rating of the best multidisciplinary universities in Kazakhstan in 2018 according to the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education. To take the twentieth place in twenty years is a great result.

And 2017 left another mark in history: on September 6 of the same year, the Zhetysai multidisciplinary college of the Syrdariya University was opened. Received a qualification license for 8 specialties "Technical and vocational education".

         Education and science are inseparable. Success in science will dominate the university's reputation. Therefore, all conditions for science and new discoveries have been created here. This is evidenced by the opening in August 2010 of the Center for Innovative Research at the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology of Syrdariya University. This center is an educational and scientific structural unit of the university. On December 15, 2016, the Center for Innovative Research received an accreditation certificate of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In addition, two chemical laboratories were reconstructed at the center, and a permit for the bacteriological laboratory of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan was issued on February 21, 2018. Bacteriological studies, qualitative and quantitative analysis of the chemical composition of drinking water, waste water, groundwater in the settlements of the Maktaaral region are carried out.

         One of the greatest achievements of the university scientists is another achievement - the archaeological expedition "Myrzashol", consisting of professors and students of the Faculty of History. Since 2004, with the funding of the university, research has been carried out on the medieval cities "Uturtobe", "Kultobe", located 30 km north-east of Zhetysai, they have never been investigated or entered into scientific circulation. The research was carried out by the director of the International Research Center "Archaeologist", Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor M. Eleuov. The results were presented at scientific conferences and published in scientific journals. As a result of archaeological excavations in 2004, a museum was opened at the university. The museum exhibits are growing every year with the number of excavated exhibits. When President Nursultan Nazarbayev himself visited the Syrdariya University in 2005, he praised the work of the museum. Currently, the university museum has been included in the tourist route of the South Kazakhstan region since 2016.

The milestone achieved by university scientists is not limited to this. Proof of this - the state grant "The best teacher of the university" in 2013 was won by Doctor of Economics, Professor Begim Serikov, and in 2017, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Musabekova Gulnar Tazhibaevna.

         There are many young scientists at the university to be proud of. There is a Council of Young Scientists and 18 student scientific circles.

         Here students learn the skills of conducting experiments, processing the results obtained, designing and preparing laboratory structures and teaching aids.

         Students also participate in various scientific projects and competitions, olympiads, contests and win prizes.

       In two decades, the remote university has reached an international level. Because one of the main directions of strategic development was the entry into the world education and science system. At the same time, in order to strengthen ties with universities in the near and far abroad, agreements on academic exchange were signed with prestigious universities within the framework of the international programs Erasmus + and Mevlana. Latvia, Hungary, Turkey, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have close academic ties with our university.

For example, in 2012, a delegation led by the mayor of Dandesh, Hungary Laszlo Farago, in 2013 - Senator of the French Parliament, a world-class figure Emir de Montesquieu, Professor at the University of Cambridge Siddhardt Saxena, German professor, Doctor of Historical Sciences Walter Fraisen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Hungary in Kazakhstan, Professor of the Russian Financial University, Candidate of Economic Sciences Bari Galymovich Khairov, Rector of the Tajik Pedagogical Institute in Pendjikent, Republic of Tajikistan, Doctor of Philology, Professor Ansorov Muazzom Kudrodzoto visited our university and made important decisions.

         One of the manifestations of this was the signing of a joint memorandum on topical issues of the educational process at the I International Forum dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the university, which took place on October 14, 2017.

Syrdariya University is a sacred place where great people step. Famous people of the country, in particular, the first Kazakh cosmonaut, national hero Toktar Aubakirov, champion of the Olympic Games in Beijing Bakhyt Sarsekbayev, Turkologist, scientist studying the history of Kazakh literature, Doctor of Philology Rakmankul Berdibay, Myrzatay Zholdasbekov, Kulbek Ergobzhan Kulturnyel Duan, writer talented actor Sabit Orazbayev, editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Yegemen Kazakhstan" Sautbek Abdrakhmanov, writer Markhabat Baigut came to our university to meet with students and express their sincere wishes.

         For 20 years, round tables with the participation of employers have been held at the departments of the university. Traditionally, during the "Job Fair", "Open Day", students had the opportunity to communicate face to face with representatives of the institution and get information. Thus, the university attracted young people from remote areas to education and made its graduates the elite of the region. It should be noted that from 1998 to 2017, 12 353 students became graduates of the Syrdariya University, 2175 of whom are currently successfully working in educational institutions of the region. The Syrdariya University Alumni Association provided significant support in cooperation with the business community and did not lose contact with the university.

         Today, the university has about 3000 students, who once started with only 2 faculties with 200 students. Provides educational services in 28 bachelor's and 10 master's specialties. There is a training system in 3 languages ​​for all specialties. There are also student benefits. In particular, the winners of subject Olympiads for school graduates will receive university scholarships, discounts on tuition for active students and students, depending on their social status, and the potential of teachers and teachers working at the university is growing from year to year. Today it is 54%, out of about 200 professors and teachers, 10 doctors of sciences, 78 candidates of sciences, 5 doctors of philosophical sciences, 64 masters of sciences.

For twenty years the university has been transformed, developed and expanded. At present, its total area is 12,432 sq. There are four educational buildings, the Palace of Students "Kazakhstan" for 500 seats and the "Student House" for 320 seats, the Center for Innovative Research.

         In addition, the university has 4 united faculties, 11 departments, an environmental research laboratory, departments, an interdisciplinary Zhetysai college, archives, medical services, 4 libraries, etc.

         In accordance with modern trends, the department "Software" has a laboratory of robotics. Various robotic machines are presented here: Elephant, Color Expert, Crane robots, all machines are assembled. In addition, the physical education laboratory, linguistics and forensics rooms, and the Center for psychological counseling are equipped with modern equipment. A greenhouse and a greenhouse are organized for students to do research and conduct educational and practical experiments. The university introduced the licensed program "Kabis" to create a modern library.

For twenty years, within the framework of the implementation of youth policy, a system of youth self-government was created. This is evidenced by the I Regional Youth Forum, which took place on February 28, 2017, and the Republican Youth Forum "Youth of the New World", which took place on October 2, 3, 2018. At the forum, training seminars and trainings were held to create a personnel reserve for the "Golden Fund". The best graduates and active students of universities of the region took part in it. Its chairman is the rector of the university, delegate of the 6th congress of the youth wing "Zhas Otan" Bektemis Meirkhan. There is also a society of volunteers "President's Partnership". At the same time, special attention is paid to spiritual and cultural education.

         Also, in a short time, the university was able to prove itself at the national level. This is evidenced by the fact that the group of Zhaidarman "Team of Syrdariya" increases not only the prestige of the university, but also of the region. Winner of the Almaty Open League in 2013, champion of the Republican Premier League in 2014. We can proudly say that in 2015 he finished 3rd in the Republican Premier League, in 2016 he finished 2nd in the Republican Premier League, in 2017 he took 1st place in the Republican Premier League ...

         The youth of "Syrdariya" University is not without art. The Zhetysai Sazy Folk Instruments Orchestra, the choir, the Nazerke group of dancers under the direction of the famous composer, professor Boris Isa take an active part in all cultural events of the region.

         Students adhering to a healthy lifestyle take part in many republican, regional and district sports competitions and receive prizes.

There are more than 20 student creative circles here. This year, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the university, the opening of the student theater "Syr Sandyk" and the Center "Fiction" at the department of "Kazakh language and literature" can be called a cultural achievement of the university.

        In addition to public holidays that contribute to professional competence, responsibility, self-organization and self-development, "Autumn Ball", "Miss Syrdariya", "Young Sultan", "Song and Singer", "Fashion and Song Parade", "Two Stars" traditionally held creative evenings of Sh. Kaldayakov, M. Makatayev, M. Auezov.

         University students often go on study tours: only last year they visited the international exhibition EXPO-17. Visit to the Cognitive Museum of Shymkent. It has become a tradition to hold annual sports competitions "Spring Cross", "Health", "Freshness and Health" aimed at maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

         Yes, there is no doubt that teachers and students who have witnessed the brightest moments of the last twenty years will overcome the challenges ahead with dignity.

The main thing is that an important mission to the people of Makhtaaral has been accomplished, graduates of "Syrdariya" in the Syrdariya are working hard at home. This is a hope, a dream come true.
