The 17th Republican Subject Olympiad among University Students in the Educational Program 6B01450 – Vocational Training Was Held
On May 5 of this year, within the framework of events approved by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Department of Vocational Education of the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences and Art at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University held the 17th Republican Subject Olympiad among university students in the educational program 6B01450 – Vocational Training.
The goal of the Olympiad was to promote scientific knowledge and identify students’ interest in scientific and educational activities from both theoretical and practical perspectives. It also aimed to develop students’ creative abilities and professional competencies, to select and prepare talented students for participation in international Olympiads, and to encourage active involvement in improving the education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Seven teams from across the country participated in the Olympiad. The competition was conducted in three stages:
1. Stage 1 – Theoretical testing: 30 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 30 minutes.
2. Stage 2 – Practical task execution (3 hours were allotted).
3. Stage 3 – Defense of scientific projects (3 hours were allotted).
Our university was represented by the “Tomiris” team, led by Ulzhamal Zhandaraliyeva Konakbayeva and Babur Farhaduly Rakhimov.
As a result of the Olympiad, Charos Kadirkulova, a student of group PIK 24-1k2, was awarded in the “Decorative and Applied Arts” nomination and received valuable prizes and a diploma from the university’s rector.
