On December 17, 2025, a final lesson in the discipline

On December 17, 2025, a final lesson in the discipline “Fundamentals of Composition” was held among students of groups PiK 24-1k2, PiK 24-14k2, and PiK 24-14k3, organized by Kalabayeva Kyzbala Raiymbekovna, mentor of the Department of Art and Craft. Within the framework of 15 topics предусмотренных by the curriculum, the students presented 15 different dress compositions. During the lesson, the fundamental principles of costume construction, methods of compositional formation and harmonization, the significance of color as a compositional tool, and other theoretical issues were covered. The purpose of teaching the discipline “Fundamentals of Composition” is to develop students’ professional knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as to enhance their creative thinking abilities. In addition, students are expected to gain an in-depth understanding of fashion and style trends and clearly comprehend the fundamental creative principles involved in designing new clothing models and collections. Working in groups, the students used fabric, paper, newspapers, plastic, and various packaging materials to create unique dress designs. In the final part of the event, a fashion show was organized, during which participants confidently walked the runway and presented and defended their compositional works before the audience in accordance with their chosen themes. We believe that this event increased students’ interest in the discipline and gave impetus to their creative development.
