In accordance with the academic and methodological work plan, Moldir Muratbekovna Tuleumbet, Master of Pedagogical Sciences and Lecturer of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education at the Institute of Pedagogical and Natural Sciences of Zhumabek Akhmetuly Tashenev University, conducted an open lesson for students of group PiK-25-5k6 within the course “Nature and Society” on the topic “Protected Natural Areas of Kazakhstan: Biosphere Reserves and National Natural Parks.”

The purpose of the lesson was to provide students with knowledge about the types of protected natural areas in Kazakhstan, their importance in nature conservation, and their distinctive features, as well as to foster a responsible attitude toward environmental protection.

The open lesson was attended by Luiza Rizayeva, PhD and Senior Lecturer of the department, who highly appreciated the lesson. The objectives and tasks of the lesson were fully achieved, and the class was conducted at a high level in accordance with the requirements of the educational program. The lesson structure was logically organized, and the expected learning outcomes were clearly defined. The lecturer provided comprehensive information about Kazakhstan’s biosphere reserves, state nature reserves, and national natural parks, emphasizing their important role in environmental conservation. Presentation materials were used effectively, while question-and-answer activities, discussions, and analytical methods enhanced student engagement.

Department lecturer K. Serikbayeva provided the following evaluation: “The objectives and tasks of the lesson were clearly defined, and the content fully corresponded to the topic. The lecturer successfully combined theoretical knowledge with practical examples, enabling students to deepen their understanding of protected natural areas in a systematic way. Active learning methods were appropriately applied throughout the lesson, increasing students’ cognitive engagement and interest in the subject. Students freely expressed their opinions on the importance of environmental protection and demonstrated a high level of participation in completing the tasks.”

Department lecturer B. Isa commented: “The lesson was conducted at a high professional level, and the topic was comprehensively covered. The lecturer maintained effective feedback with students, creating opportunities for the development of their analytical, comparative, and critical thinking skills. The role of Kazakhstan’s nature reserves and national parks in preserving natural resources was explained in a scientifically accurate and understandable manner. Visual aids and presentation materials effectively supported the lesson content and facilitated students’ understanding. Assessment criteria were clearly defined, and students’ work was evaluated fairly.”

Overall, the open lesson on “Protected Natural Areas of Kazakhstan: Biosphere Reserves and National Natural Parks” was organized at a high scientific and methodological level, and all planned objectives were successfully achieved.
