On April 15, 2026, Assel Meirambekovna Tamabai, Lecturer of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education at the Institute of Pedagogical and Natural Sciences of Zhumabek Akhmetuly Tashenev University, conducted an open practical lesson for students of groups PiK-24-5k7 and PiK-24-5k8 within the course “Teaching Methods and Technologies” on the topic “The Use of Information, Communication and Digital Technologies in Primary School Education.”
The purpose of the lesson was to develop future primary school teachers’ practical skills in effectively applying information, communication, and digital technologies in the educational process and to enhance their digital competencies.
During the lesson, students became familiar with modern digital educational resources and the specifics of their application in primary education. The lecturer introduced the capabilities of Kahoot!, Quizizz, LearningApps, and Padlet and demonstrated practical ways of integrating these platforms into classroom activities.
The practical component of the lesson was organized through group work. Students designed educational tasks using digital platforms, shared their experiences, and analyzed the outcomes of their activities. Brainstorming, group discussions, question-and-answer sessions, demonstrations, and practical exercises were effectively implemented throughout the lesson.
The open lesson was attended by Associate Professor Z.K. Kerimbayeva, Senior Lecturer B.A. Ayapova, K.Sh. Alimova, and Lecturer A. Mambetaliyeva.
Following the lesson, the participants highly appreciated its content and methodological quality. Associate Professor Z.K. Kerimbayeva noted the logical structure of the lesson, the alignment of its content with the learning objectives, and the effective organization of the educational process. Senior Lecturer B.A. Ayapova emphasized the relevance of the topic and the effective use of digital platforms in preparing future teachers.
K.Sh. Alimova highly praised the lecturer’s professional competence, her successful integration of innovative educational technologies into the learning process, and her ability to create an engaging learning environment. Lecturer A. Mambetaliyeva highlighted the students’ high level of motivation, the positive psychological atmosphere, and the effective organization of collaborative learning activities.
