On April 23, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., Zhansaya Musilkhanqyzy Pansat, Lecturer of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education, Faculty of Pedagogical and Humanitarian Education, J.A. Tashenov University JSC, conducted an open practical lesson for the PIK-23-5k12 group within the course “Methodology of Teaching the Kazakh Language” on the topic “Enhancing Student Engagement in Kazakh Language Lessons through Artificial Intelligence and Gamification”.

During the lesson, effective approaches to integrating artificial intelligence tools and gamification elements into the educational process were demonstrated, and their significance in increasing students’ interest and learning engagement was analyzed. Students completed practical tasks using digital technologies and gained experience in applying contemporary instructional methods. Particular attention was paid to the development of creative and critical thinking skills. The open lesson contributed to the enhancement of future teachers’ digital and methodological competencies.

The objectives and intended outcomes of the practical open lesson were fully achieved, and the session was conducted at a high methodological level. The lesson structure complied with the requirements of the educational program, while its objectives and expected learning outcomes were clearly defined. A thematic presentation was delivered, and the discussion method was effectively employed throughout the lesson.

The open lesson was attended by the Head of the Department, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) G.O. Amirova, and Lecturer with a Master’s degree A. Tamabay. Following the lesson, Head of the Department G.O. Amirova provided an evaluation of the open lesson entitled “Enhancing Student Engagement in Kazakh Language Lessons through Artificial Intelligence and Gamification”, conducted by Zh.M. Pansat. According to her assessment, the lesson objectives and tasks were clearly formulated, and the instructional content was fully aligned with the topic. The lecturer effectively integrated theoretical knowledge with practical activities, thereby facilitating the development of students’ understanding of developmental and educational psychology. Active learning strategies, including group work, case-study analysis, discussion, and question-and-answer sessions, were successfully implemented, resulting in increased student engagement and cognitive interest. Furthermore, the lecturer maintained continuous feedback with students and created a supportive psychological environment that encouraged learners to express their ideas and opinions freely.
