Our university hosted a panel session "Inclusive Education - Barrier-Free Environment".
The leaders, specialists and students of these institutions gathered at a meeting organized jointly by the Empathy Consulting and Resource Center and institutions for the education of children with special needs in the Turkestan region and the city of Shymkent.
Handicrafts of Tashenev University students and students of special, additional and secondary schools in the regions were exhibited, an exhibition was organized in the foyer. Visitors bought handicrafts from children with disabilities and supported them.
The rector of Tashenev University Kanat Baibolov spoke at the event, which continued in the library of our educational institution. After that, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs P. Baineeva said that the Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev pays special attention to inclusive education, and work in this direction is systematically carried out in our educational institution.
“One of the main values of the university's strategic plan is to provide students with equal rights. During the lesson, special programs of inclusive education were considered. We are also considering the issue of socialization in educational processes,” said Parida Tunbaevna.
During the event, the librarian of the Tastumsyk rural library of the Tyulkibas district, a disabled person of the first group, Topanbai Meirkhan, spoke about his life path and how he overcame difficulties. The 28-year-old citizen has read 68,000 books since he learned to write. As a result of his interest in education, he learned 10 languages. The reason for achieving such success was primarily the support of his mother and grandmother.
Meirhan says that despite the fact that inclusive education has been established for people with disabilities, there is still room for their socialization. “Teachers who teach students at home are afraid to demand something from children. He only cares about making them happy and entertained. At the same time, teachers, parents, and even those around them are limited in their ability to look at them with pity. It is necessary to educate a child comprehensively. First of all, it is important to convince them by talking about their shortcoming and teaching them to obey it,” he said. Meirkhan also shared how to quickly read a book and how to learn several languages. became one of the reasons for the exhaustion of 68,000 books. "My teacher Zhanna Nuralikovna is the reason why I became a real book lover," he noted with particular emotion. At the same time, through conversations with students, he explained to them how to overcome life's obstacles, which is useful, and gave spiritual inspiration to the participants.
