А century that gives youth activity

When organizing a social and educational structure in our educational institution, a meeting was held in a free format with veterans who served in the army at the Semey nuclear test site and contributed to the closure of the test site.
Veterans of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site Esentai Darmenov, Abdimalik Makhambetov and Torekhan Alimbetov took part in the meeting. During the meeting with students, holders of badges named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Sagadat Nurmagambetov, Sabyr Rakhimov, Baurzhan Momyshuly, the past days were remembered. He urged that such a situation should not be repeated in our country and urged the youth to maintain high patriotic spirit even when this happens. He expressed confidence that young people will conscientiously fulfill their duty to the Motherland.
It should be noted that, by order of the USSR Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Atomic Industry, the Semipalatinsk test site was created, where nuclear explosions were carried out. The landfill covered the former Semipalatinsk region, the Abralinsky district, as well as some areas of the Pavlodar and Karaganda regions. From 1949 to 1989, about 470 nuclear explosions of varying power were carried out at the test site.
