According to the open lesson plan, on November 7, 2025, senior lecturer Zh.A. Rakhmankulova conducted an open practical lesson in the group

PiK-24-17k on the subject “Garment Construction” on the topic “Drafting the Basic Grid of the Women’s Dress Construction”.

The purpose of the lesson was to explain the main stages of constructing shoulder garments, to familiarize students with garment construction principles, to teach and apply the basic stages of calculations required for designing women’s shoulder garments, as well as to complete calculations and drawings in A4 format according to the topic.

During the lesson, students studied the main stages of preliminary calculations for drafting a dress based on selected women’s body measurements and explored them in practice. The basic grid of the women’s dress was drafted at a 1:4 scale.

Based on the acquired knowledge, students carried out preliminary calculations for the women’s dress draft using selected body measurements and constructed the basic grid drawing of the women’s dress at a 1:4 scale on A4 thick paper.

Lesson outcome: Students mastered the performance of preliminary calculations for the women’s dress draft based on body measurements and constructed the drawing of the basic grid of the women’s dress at a 1:4 scale on A4 thick paper.
