A. 2nd year in the educational program "6b01601 – history teacher training", "6b01506 – geography teacher training" and "6b01509 – geography history teacher training" EP-22-2k, EP-22-13k, EP-22-3K, Held an open lesson for EP-22-4K groups on the topic "Philosophy of Religion".

The purpose of the lesson was to study the main problems of the philosophy of religion, the peculiarities of religious consciousness and religious knowledge, the formation and development of the problem of faith in religion and God in the history of philosophy.

As part of the lesson plan "What is religion? When did religion arise?"fundamental issues are considered, the importance of religion as a socio-cultural phenomenon is analyzed. The views of thinkers who contributed to the development of the philosophy of religion were also widely publicized. In particular, the problem of religion was analyzed in the works of Aristotle, Aurelius Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Immanuel Kant, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, Ludwig Feuerbach. The views of French enlighteners of the 18th century, including Voltaire and Paul Henri Holbach, and Isaac Newton's thoughts on God were discussed.

The conclusions of social thinkers regarding religion also did not go unnoticed. The article analyzes the functions and role of religion in society in the works of Emile Durkheim, Max Weber, Karl Marx, Talcott Parsons, Bronislaw Malinowski, Alfred Radcliffe-Brown. The place and historical and spiritual significance of religion in the Kazakh culture were also considered.

Slides, an information platform and videos were used during the lesson, and an interactive discussion was organized. The students were able to substantiate their views through a comparative analysis of philosophical statements, expressing their opinion on the topic.

The open lesson was held at a high methodological level, contributed to the development of critical thinking and broadened the horizons of students.
