Today, Tashenev University hosted a meeting with Mr. Benjamin Leong Tack Khang, Deputy Managing Director of the International Cultural Communication Center of Malaysia (ICCCM) and representative of the International Transnational Education Association (ITEA). Vice-Rector of the University, Ms. Zhanar Rysbekova, introduced the guest to the university community. During his visit, Mr. Leong delivered a presentation highlighting the activities of ICCCM and ITEA, as well as the prospects for cooperation with the university. The parties discussed the following areas of collaboration: educational programs and international internships for students; academic mobility of faculty members; cultural and scientific exchange; joint plans and projects in the field of sustainable development. Special attention during the visit was given to the development of the Transnational Education Partnership (TEP) program. Vice-Rector of Tashenev University, Ms. Zhanar Kassymbekovna Rysbekova, emphasized the importance of the agreements reached: "It is especially important for us that within the framework of this visit we discussed the prospects of our university’s participation in the Transnational Education Partnership (TEP) program. This will enable our students and faculty to study at universities in China, as well as undertake internships at international companies. In addition, we plan joint research projects and faculty exchanges, which will significantly enhance the quality of training and strengthen our international standing." Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Ms. Parida Baineeva, addressed the topic of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) pursued by ICCCM. In response, Mr. Leong noted: "At present, we are focusing on two key areas of sustainable development — women’s rights and renewable energy. In the future, we plan to expand the scope of our initiatives." The meeting was also attended by faculty deans, department heads of the Institute of World Languages, and representatives of the teaching staff, which confirmed the strong academic interest in international partnerships. The event concluded with a tour of the Tashenev University campus, where guests were introduced to the academic buildings, laboratories, and student infrastructure. The university is actively developing cross-border cooperation and confidently entering the global educational arena. The meeting marked an important step in strengthening cultural and academic cooperation between Kazakhstan, Malaysia, and China, and provided an opportunity to discuss prospects for implementing new educational and research projects. 👉 Tashenev University is consistently advancing toward global partnerships, expanding the horizons of cooperation with leading international organizations.
