Debate on current issues is an essential form of social work. They are focused on the dialectical consideration of various spheres of social development (politics, economics, culture, etc.), issues of social progress. At the "Syrdariya" university, this direction was formed in the form of a discussion club.
Debate is a technology that effectively implements education by organizing a youth movement. They are designed to prove any thesis, regardless of the art of persuasive speech, personal point of view. Debates learn to listen to each other and develop public speaking skills, speech culture, creativity and ingenuity, and critical thinking. At the same time, seeing the origins and essence of various problems in society, they exchange views on how best to deal with difficult situations in different countries.
The discussion club at the "Syrdariya" University is aimed at the formation and development of free personalities and active students. Today, all competences in the field of education are transferred to students, so any student has an excellent opportunity for self-development, using convincing arguments to convince the audience of a position in which conflicting views arise. It is also necessary to develop communication skills, resilience to stress and the ability to work in a team, as well as other flexibility to achieve any results, both in school and in career. And our university has all the necessary conditions for students to gain experience and work independently.
One way to develop flexibility and performance is to involve students in community service. In particular, debate plays an important role in enhancing student engagement. Undoubtedly, every student who takes an active part in such important events will learn to use the vast ideas and new ideas derived from world experience for the benefit of their country.
