Instructor: Saule Botayeva
Topic: The Evolution of Artificial Intelligence

On February 11, 2026, Master, Senior Lecturer Khauletova Shokhnosa Abdulakimovna conducted an open lesson for students of groups IEF-24-1r, 2r, 3r, 9r, 11r, and 13r within the discipline “Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence” on the topic “The Evolution of Artificial Intelligence.”

The purpose of the lesson was to systematically introduce students to the historical stages of artificial intelligence development, analyze the features of symbolic AI, machine learning, deep learning, and generative models, and examine the impact of data and computational resources on the advancement of AI technologies. Additionally, practical understanding of the principle of learning through examples was emphasized.

During the lesson, the main stages of AI development were discussed in detail, along with the principles of symbolic AI and expert systems. Students explored decision-making logic based on “If–Then” rules and, through interactive tasks, created their own rule-based solutions. At the stage of machine learning discussion, special attention was given to the difference between writing rules and learning from examples, supported by real-life applications.

Furthermore, the role of GPU resources, big data, and cloud technologies in the development of artificial intelligence was highlighted. Particular attention was paid to the characteristics of generative AI, its probabilistic working mechanism, and the phenomenon of model hallucination.

The open lesson was conducted at a high organizational level using interactive teaching methods. Students actively participated and demonstrated both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The content and structure of the lesson fully corresponded to the stated objectives and contributed to increasing students’ interest in the discipline.
