On December 13, 2025, Nargiza Rasulovna Ismatullaeva, Associate Professor at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, gave guest lectures to second- and third-year undergraduate and graduate students of the Russian and Uzbek Languages Department of the Institute of World Languages at the University.

The guest lectures focused on the specifics of nonverbal means used in intercultural communication. The main goal of the lecture was to explain the role of nonverbal cues in effective communication in various cultural contexts.

Nonverbal communication is a method of conveying information not through words, but through body movements, facial expressions, eye contact, gestures, clothing style, voice intonation, and other visual cues. These cues are particularly important in intercultural communication, as each culture uses its own unique nonverbal cues.

The lecture included practical examples, including an analysis of visual communication between representatives of different cultures and ways to avoid mistakes and misunderstandings. Strategies for effectively using nonverbal means to improve intercultural relations were also discussed.

The lecture concluded by emphasizing that the correct understanding and use of nonverbal means in intercultural communication helps overcome cultural differences and makes interactions more effective.
