International Accreditation of Educational Programs Is Underway at Tashenov University

An expert group from the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) has begun its work at Tashenov University. The visit is taking place as part of the international specialized accreditation process for 15 educational programs of the university.

Over the course of several days, the experts are conducting a comprehensive assessment of the university’s activities: analyzing the content and quality of educational program implementation, the university’s strategy and mission, the development of academic policies and student support, as well as the effectiveness of the internal quality assurance system. Special attention is given to the university’s cooperation with employers and alumni — key participants in the educational process.

As part of the accreditation, meetings are being held between the expert group and the university administration, faculty members, students, alumni, and social partners. During these meetings, participants discuss the relevance of educational programs in the labor market, the timeliness of curricula, and the quality of practical training for future specialists.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Parida Bayneeva emphasized that accreditation is not a formality, but a tool for development:

“Undergoing international accreditation is an important step toward improving the quality of education. For us, it is an opportunity to evaluate our work from an external perspective, to identify strengths and areas for improvement. We strive to ensure that every educational program at Tashenov University meets international standards and provides our graduates with competitiveness both in Kazakhstan and beyond.”

The IQAA accreditation process reaffirms the university’s commitment to continuous improvement of educational processes, transparency, and openness to society. The results of the expert group’s work will form the basis for further enhancement of educational quality and for strengthening Tashenov University’s position in both the national and international academic community.
