Open Class of M. Shnaliev, Master’s Degree Holder and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Art and Artistic Work
Topic: “Drawing a Plaster Cast Head”
The teaching staff of the Department of Art and Artistic Work activily integrates innovative teaching methods into the educational process, particularly interactive approaches. These include brainstorming sessions, business and role-playing games, case study analysis, interactive lectures, and work with visual aids, as well as video and audio materials. Various active learning formats are aimed at improving the quality of students’ knowledge. M. Shnaliev, Master’s degree holder and Senior Lecturer of the department, conducted an open class in the discipline “Drawing” for group PiK-25-2k3 of the educational program 6B01407 – “Labor Training and Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship.” The reinforcement of prior knowledge on the topic was carried out through case-based tasks (the case study method). The group was divided into two teams, each assigned a specific task. During the case analysis process, the instructor focused students’ attention on the key concepts and fundamental principles of the topic, actively engaging them in the learning process. While working independently in groups, each student had the opportunity to express their ideas and opinions. This approach fosters creativity and encourages non-standard solutions to assigned tasks. Thus, students develop constructive and creative thinking skills and discover new abilities. The use of case study elements not only enhances students’ cognitive activity but also promotes the development of logical thinking, increases academic interest in the subject, and strengthens skills in analysis, synthesis, and problem-solving in practical contexts.
