held an open lesson on "Archaeology of Germany."
The open lesson (seminar) on the archaeology of Germany attracted a large number of students interested in the rich historical heritage of Central Europe. The lesson (seminar), led by Sabira Nurbayevna Apasheva, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor, provided an in-depth examination of the main aspects and latest achievements in the field of German archaeology, spanning the period from the Paleolithic to the Early Middle Ages. The main topics of the seminar were:
• Prehistoric Germany: famous finds such as the "Venus of Holefels" and evidence of early human settlements in the Rhine and Danube valleys were discussed. Megalithic structures and the Linear Pottery culture were examined.
• The Bronze Age and the Celts: a study of burials and fortified settlements, as well as the influence of the Celtic La Tène and Hallstatt cultures on the territory of modern-day Germany.
• Roman Germany: a detailed analysis of the Limes Germanicus, a unique defensive structure inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Finds from the Roman provinces of Germania Inferior and Germania Superior are presented, including military camps and civilian settlements.
• The Great Migration and the Early Middle Ages: a review of archaeological evidence related to Germanic tribes (Goths, Franks, Alemanni) and the formation of the first early state structures.
Close collaboration between archaeologists, historians, geologists, anthropologists, and cultural heritage conservation specialists emphasized the interdisciplinary nature of German archaeology, which allows not only for new discoveries but also for the effective preservation of unique monuments. "German archaeology is not simply the study of the past; it is a dialogue with ancestors that helps us better understand the roots of modern European civilization and the importance of preserving the cultural landscape." The open lesson was attended by Meirbekov Myrzabai Baltabayuly, Master of Science (MSc) of the Department and Dean of the Faculty; Sherimbaeva Zhibek Duisebayevna, Senior Lecturer; and Mekenbay Rabiga Talgatovna. New information and facts on the topic of "German archaeology" were presented. The seminar utilized teaching aids, reference books, posters, presentations, laptops, and interactive whiteboards. Apasheva Sabira Nurbayevna, who actively participated in the seminar, engaged the students, skillfully utilized various methods, and conducted the seminar at a high level. She once again demonstrated her creative teaching skills. We wish you continued research and great achievements!
