“Law and Economics”
The Department of Economics and Law is one of the first departments of the University of Syrdariуa and was founded in 1998. It provides training for bachelors and masters of economics and law. Our graduates become professional lawyers, economists, accountants, financiers, working in private and public organizations.
We pay great attention to the practical and research work of students. The department "Law and Economics" is equipped with specialized rooms "Accounting and Audit", "Finance", "Criminalistics." There are student scientific circles "Themis" and "Young Economist" at the department. Our students actively participate in student scientific conferences as within the university and in the events of Kazakhstani and international universities.
Thanks to the professional teaching staff, the students of the department receive theoretical knowledge and practical skills, are able to make competent decisions in rapidly changing socio-economic conditions.
Teachers of the department
The teaching staff consists of 19 people, including 3 doctors of sciences, 7 candidates of sciences, 9 masters. The teachers of the department carry out active educational and methodological work, applying innovative teaching methods, based on practical knowledge. They constantly conduct research work, participate in scientific and practical conferences at the international and republican levels, regularly publish research articles, monographs and educational materials in scientific journals.

Doctor of Legal Sciences. Has vast practical and theoretical experience in the field of jurisprudence. In 1987 he graduated from the Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov with a degree in jurisprudence. Previously, he held the positions of associate professor, professor, head of the Department of Civil and Business Law at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2011 he was recognized as the best teacher of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He is the author of more than 110 scientific works, two textbooks, three monographs, which have been tested in the educational process in Kazakhstani universities. He has published over 20 scientific papers in foreign scientific journals. For a number of years he has specialized in the field of marriage and family relations, civil law and civil procedure.
