SHYMKENT STUDENTS TO ASSEMBLE DRONES AND ADOPT ADVANCED CHINESE EXPERTISE

Zhumabek Akhmetuly Tashenev University and "Avatar Agricultural Technology Development" LLC have signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of unmanned technologies, specialist training, manufacturing, and research-innovation activities.

The document was signed by the Rector of Tashenev University, Candidate of Legal Sciences Zhanar Kassymbekovna Rysbekova, and the General Director of "Avatar Agricultural Technology Development" LLC, Wang Zicong.

This new partnership is part of the university's strategic efforts aimed at integrating education and science with the real needs of industry. Under the memorandum, the parties intend to develop a wide range of areas — from training qualified specialists in the design, programming, assembly, and operation of unmanned aerial systems to executing joint research and technological projects.

A key focus will be exploring the feasibility of establishing a manufacturing and assembly facility based at Tashenev University for drone production, assembly, and localization. Project implementation will proceed based on a relevant feasibility study, necessary regulatory approvals, and separate agreements between the parties.

Furthermore, the university and the company will consider establishing a joint unmanned technology laboratory, a design bureau, a service and training center, and a flight testing ground.

An important part of the cooperation aims to expand hands-on opportunities for students. Specifically, the plans include organizing internships, industrial training, implementing dual-education elements, and involving students in projects based on real industrial challenges.

The parties also intend to conduct training and retraining programs for specialists in designing, programming, assembling, servicing, and repairing drones.

The memorandum provides for engaging experienced company specialists as guest lecturers, experts, and mentors, as well as developing joint educational programs, elective courses, short-term training, and micro-credential programs.

Zhanar Rysbekova, Rector of Tashenev University:

We must offer students the chance not only to acquire knowledge, but also to work with real technologies, solve industrial tasks, and turn their own ideas into practical products. This partnership will unlock new opportunities to build competencies in unmanned technologies, artificial intelligence, and engineering. Our main goal is to train specialists who are not just ready for labor market demands, but are capable of developing new technologies independently."

DRONES + ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE + AGRICULTURE

Research work within the framework of the memorandum will center around promising areas of modern technology.

The parties intend to conduct joint R&D (research and development) initiatives in autonomous navigation, artificial intelligence, computer vision, drone swarm management, precision agriculture, spraying and dispersion technologies, flight safety, and energy efficiency.

These technologies hold special significance for the agro-industrial sector. Modern unmanned systems elevate vital tasks—such as agricultural land monitoring, data collection, plant health assessment, and farm process automation—to a whole new level.

Plans also involve securing grant and investment funding for joint initiatives, hosting scientific conferences, hackathons, engineering competitions, exhibitions, and flight demonstrations.

The memorandum gives fresh momentum to Tashenev University's efforts to reinforce the link between "education — science — innovation — production." For the university, this marks an important step toward creating a platform where students master modern technologies in real production settings, turning scientific ideas into practical, market-ready technological products.
