Zhumabek Akhmetuly Tashenev University hosted a visit from a prominent international expert in English language teaching — Ms. Katherine Rick, a Senior Instructor and specialist in Academic English.

Ms. Katherine Rick is a Senior Instructor in English Language and holds a Master of Applied Linguistics (TESOL) from the University of Melbourne (Australia). She brings over 12 years of international experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and Business English, as well as managing language programs at universities across Australia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Middle East. Currently, she represents the British Management University in Tashkent, where she serves as the Director of Professional Development.

As part of her visit to Tashenev University, Ms. Rick conducted a series of lectures and practice-oriented workshops for faculty and staff. The central theme of her presentations was "Classroom Management" — focusing on modern approaches to managing the educational process and creating an effective learning environment.

The lectures covered the following topics

Modern classroom management models;

Strategies for fostering a positive learning atmosphere;

Methods for handling challenging classroom situations;

Developing academic and socio-emotional learning environments;

Practical tools for preventing and resolving disciplinary challenges.
