Meeting with a U.S. Diplomat: New Perspectives, Culture and Educational Opportunities

The meeting with a U.S. diplomat provided participants with a unique opportunity to learn more about American culture and educational opportunities in the United States.

The American Corner of Shymkent, supported by the U.S. Embassy and based at the A. S. Pushkin City Universal Library, held a special presentation dedicated to one of the most iconic cities in the United States - Chicago, Illinois. The special guest of the event was Ali Leili, a diplomat from the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan.

Tashenev University was selected as one of the participants to host this important event, highlighting the university’s active international engagement and its commitment to expanding educational opportunities for students and faculty members.

During the event, participants took a virtual journey through Chicago - a city known for its unique architecture, rich history, diverse culture, and dynamic modern lifestyle. Guests learned about the city’s main attractions, the unique features of the state of Illinois, and Chicago’s role as one of the leading educational, economic, and cultural centers of the United States.

Special attention was given to opportunities available for students and faculty members, including participation in educational programs, academic exchange opportunities, international cooperation projects, and professional development initiatives.

The meeting became more than just a presentation about an American city - it was a meaningful dialogue between two cultures and education systems. American Spaces are free educational platforms supported by the U.S. Embassy that provide opportunities to learn English, participate in educational programs, explore American culture, and develop leadership skills.
